Fees are time-based and work is executed according to pre-agreed fees and time lines. The fee is based on the scope of the services to be provided, not the amount of the fundraising goal. We do not work on a percentage, commission or contingency basis. This is part of the code of practice of the professional fundraising associations we are members of (see 'Affiliations' page) both in Europe and North America. The reason is that a commission is often a disincentive to donors and may encourage conflicts of interest and short-term thinking in both clients and fundraisers to the detriment of relationship building, and may encourage clients to overlook their own primary responsibility for any successful fundraising activity. We are happy to meet you to discuss your needs. There is normally no charge for an initial meeting or proposal.
