Harvard Law School, Cambridge, Mass., USA
Harvard Law School has for a long time been a pioneer with its successful
efforts in international fundraising. Its alumni are scattered
worldwide: some are American lawyers working abroad and others
are international alumni who went to Cambridge for a second degree.
The School invited Brakeley to carry out a study of its potential
to increase fundraising from European alumni and their firms.
Consultants interviewed some 25 alumni in four countries and wrote
a report advising on an appropriate goal from this constituency
and recommending a number of steps to help achieve this goal.
The report included suggestions for deepening the relationships
with international alumni.
“Brakeley wrote an excellent report and provided vital intelligence about the attitudes of our European alumni that enables us to plan our next steps with greater confidence.”
Scott Nichols, Former Associate Dean for Development, Harvard Law School.
