Organised jointly with EAPG - London, UK.
This was a half
day seminar that sought to dispel the doom and gloom and
encourage hope and confidence by seeking practical solutions to the challenges
posed by the current economic downturn. Speakers included Brakeley's Vanessa
Bowcock and John Kelly as well as Alan Clayton from The Good Agency and
philanthropist Alec Reed.

- Marcel Crochet, Rector Emeritus of the Catholic University of Louvain
in Belgium, and Geert Sanders, formerly Executive Director of the Ubbo Ebbius
Foundation at the State University of Groningen in the Netherlands gave a presentation entitled "A Tale of Two Campaigns" in which they described their experiences of their respective campaigns and reflected on
what went well and what went not so well. John Kelly, President of Brakeley, who advised both universities, then compared the two campaigns and
offered his own views of the factors that contributed to success and the things
that might have been done differently and better.
