Marischka
Leenaers spent 15 years working in various
communication and sponsorship positions at the Dutch Railways and Rabobank, the
number 1 corporate sponsor in The Netherlands. In 2001 she started her own
sponsorship consultancy which she developed together with Fusien Verloop who joined in 2002.
Leenaers
Verloop works for non-profit organisations in the arts, educational and charity
sectors to develop structured and professional plans for their fundraising and
sponsoring activities. Leenaers Verloop also assists companies to set out a
sponsorship policy and advice them on their sponsoring activities in order to
optimize the effect of their sponsorship.
Marischka Leenaers has a large network in
the cultural and corporate world in The Netherlands. She frequently gives
workshops and lectures on sponsoring, major gift fundraising and the benefits
of cooperation between business and the arts.
In 2003
Leenaers Verloop became an Associate Consultancy of Brakeley and since then
Marischka has worked with Brakeley on projects to introduce major gift
fundraising to the Netherlands and Dutch-speaking Belgium. Her Museum clients have included: Van Gogh Museum,
Fries Museum,
Boijmans van Beuningen, Tropen Museum, Kroller Muller Museum and Centraal Museum in Utrecht.
Leenaers Verloop also worked for the Dutch Museum Association and the Dutch
Museum Card.
