Pamela Barrett

Senior Consultant

Pamela Barrett, Senior Consultant, is an international education specialist with twenty five years experience in higher education in theUK, USA andSouth East Asia. She joined Brakeley in 2009 to take up a position as Senior Consultant.

Pamela worked with the British Council in Malaysia where she managed the Education Service, and served as Education Attaché for the Council in Washington.  She has worked at Universities and Colleges in the USA and UK, and until recently managed Higher Education Advisory services for KPMG, one of the global ‘Big Four’ accountancy, audit and consulting firms.  At KPMG Pamela advised UK Universities and Middle Eastern clients on international and fundraising projects. 

Pamela has fundraising experience in Scotland, as Head of Corporate and Campaigns for one of the largest social care charities in Scotland, and as Director of Development and Alumni Affairs at the School of Oriental and African Studies of the University of London (SOAS).  At SOAS, Pamela set up a fundraising and alumni operation and focussed on international major gift work.  She worked with the School’s Chairman to recruit and work with an International Advisory Board, comprising influential individuals from the worlds of global business, the arts, diplomacy, think-tanks and international policy making.
