Karolinska Institutet (Sweden)
Karolinksa Institutet in Stockholm have just announced that they have reached their fundraising goal of SEK1
Billion (approx €100M) this week.
Brakeley has worked with KI for about four years on their campaign
initially undertaking a feasibility study followed by consulting and interim
management.
In terms of European campaigns this is an extremely impressive
result. More than half of the total funds raised came came from the
Campaign Committee and substantial donations from the U.S. where they
set up an advisory board. A major donation of €35M was made by the Erling
Persson Foundation (H&M) and €10M from the Wallemberg Foundation.

Hanken School of Economics (Finland)
The Hanken School of Economics in Helsinki has also announced that it exceeded
its €10M goal by raising €11.6M. This together with matched funding from
the government will mean that they are on for raising €40M. Two of the major
donations came from Sweden:
Wallemberg and Erling Persson Foundations.
Hanken has been a Brakeley client since 2007 having undertaken a
feasibility study and ongoing consulting.
